Friendly Integrated Development Initiative in Poverty Alleviation (FIDIPA) is a Non Governmental Organization (NGO) in Kenya registered in March 2007  under the NGO Act of Kenya as a National NGO after operating as a Community Based Organization since 2004.  FIDIPA has programs in Siaya, Nyando, Kericho, Kipkelion, Kisumu and Nairobi Districts of Kenya. The roots of FIDIPA can be traced way back to 2000 when a group of local professionals came together and envisaged the need to work together  in an organization through which to offer consultancy services and community facilitation services in a wide area of community development.
 
FIDIPA recognizes the potential that exists in the community and aims at alleviating poverty amongst the rural poor through use and promotion of local initiatives and local resources.   FIDIPA is committed to promoting high standards of leadership ability, management in the business sector and community development programs through policy research, networking, dialogue, advocacy and capacity building.

FIDIPA Implements programs on the ground and  provides consultancy services to agencies that aim at improving the standards of living of the rural and urban poor populations through the use of the locally available resources.  FIDIPA is centered around the learning community approach, which is designed to promote participatory approaches to deal with challenges facing individuals, local communities and organizations to be able to fully direct, control, own and manage their development initiatives.
