FIDIPA is undertaking two key programs, HIV/AIDS, Prevention Care/Support and Community Empowerment. FIDIPA works in collaboration with para-church and non-governmental organization in the HIV/IADS youth and women living with HIV/AIDS, Single parents/Orphans Vulnerable Children (OVC) programme, Youth Integrated Health HIV/AIDS and Environmental Programme and Siaya Integrated Hiv and Aids Development Programme (SIHADP). The programmatic approach of FIDIPA lays utmost emphasis on community ownership, mobilization and participation. This approach is pursued with the view to developing community based self-sustaining integrated development projects. The organization has maintained a high level of operational involvement within its area of jurisdiction with several development partners and government ministries Objectives To enable local communities in both rural and urban areas be able to improve their standards of living through self-help development. To reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS on communities in Kenya through the promotion of health education, treatment literacy, provide counseling services, capacity building to orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) programmes and support among infected/affected communities. To promote assistance in the promotion of any organization or company or other body having objects similar to those of the organizations (Collaboration and Networking) To promote participatory approaches to deal with the challenges facing individuals, communities, organizations and nations, irrespective of race, gender or religion. To establish an environment that contributes to human development To facilitate a highly motivated knowledgeable and developed support staff for the organization
